Suicidal Ideation Counselling

If you’ve been having thoughts of ending your life, please know—you are not broken, and you are not alone. These thoughts can feel terrifying, confusing, or sometimes quietly familiar. They may come in waves or sit with you for long periods of time.

Suicidal ideation isn’t always about wanting life to end—it’s often about wanting the pain to stop, feeling trapped with no way forward, or believing you’re a burden to others. Sometimes these thoughts are tied to depression, trauma, or isolation; sometimes they arise when you’ve simply carried too much for too long.

In our work together, I hold space for these thoughts with compassion and without judgment. You will never be shamed, rushed, or told to “just think positive.” Through a Compassionate Inquiry approach, we gently explore what is beneath the suicidal thoughts—listening for the unmet needs, unspoken pain, and unheard parts of you that are asking for care.

Together, we can:

  • Create a sense of safety, even in moments of distress

  • Understand the deeper roots of the pain you’re feeling

  • Develop a plan for what to do if these thoughts return or intensify

  • Reconnect with what brings you meaning and a reason to stay

  • Strengthen your capacity to hold difficult emotions without feeling consumed by them

If you’re in immediate danger or unable to keep yourself safe, please reach out now:

  • Talk Suicide Canada: Call or text 988 (24/7)

  • Crisis Centre BC: Call 1-800-784-2433 (24/7)

Your life matters. Even if it’s hard to imagine right now, there is a way through this pain. You don’t have to walk that road alone—we can take it one step, one breath, one moment at a time.
