Frequently Asked Questions
Because feeling informed is the first step to feeling at ease.
Because sometimes, even the strongest parts of us feel tired.
Because healing doesn’t have to be a lonely road.
Therapy can be a turning point when you’ve done everything you know how to do—and it’s still not getting better. Maybe you’re carrying something heavy from the past, feeling anxious or overwhelmed, navigating relationship difficulties, or just tired of repeating the same patterns. Or maybe things look “fine” from the outside, but inside, you feel disconnected or lost.
Some people come to therapy in moments of crisis. Others come because they want to grow, feel more grounded, or connect more deeply with themselves and others. There’s no right or wrong reason.
Seeking support doesn’t mean you’re broken—it means you’re human. Therapy offers a space to slow down, listen to yourself, and begin the work of healing and change, gently and intentionally.
Therapy is a space where you can show up just as you are—no mask, no performance, no need to have it all figured out.
In the first few sessions, we’ll take time to understand what’s bringing you in and what you hope for. We’ll explore the thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences that shape your life, gently and at your pace. Sometimes that means talking about the past; sometimes it means staying with what’s happening in the here and now.
You might laugh. You might cry. You might discover new insights, or begin to feel safer naming what’s been hard to say out loud. Therapy is not about advice or fixing you—it’s about creating a space where healing can unfold, where you can listen more closely to yourself, and where change can happen, naturally and gradually.
It’s a collaborative process. You bring your story, and I bring curiosity, care, and presence
Finding the right therapist is less about credentials and more about connection. Therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and respected—so it’s important to find someone you feel you can be yourself with.
Take time to explore. Read therapist bios. Notice how you feel as you read—do their words resonate? Do you feel a sense of calm, curiosity, or relief? You can also reach out and ask questions. Many therapists offer a brief consultation, which can help you get a feel for their presence and whether it’s a good fit.
There’s no perfect formula, but trust your instincts. The right therapist for you is someone who makes space for you—your story, your pace, your truth. If something doesn’t feel right, you’re allowed to keep looking. Therapy is for you, and it should feel that way.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this—because healing isn’t linear, and everyone’s journey is different.
Some people come to therapy for a few months to work through a specific issue or life transition. Others stay longer, using the space for deeper exploration, healing long-held patterns, or ongoing support and growth. It depends on your goals, your needs, and what feels right for you.
We’ll check in regularly about how things are going, what’s shifting, and what you need. You’re not signing up forever—and you’re not expected to rush the process either. Therapy moves at your pace. You can pause, continue, or end at any point. You’re in charge of your journey.
